Taking a break from the laughs. The Roseanne finale took a pause on comedy to get actual, with fewer jokes than regular. The first half of the Tuesday, May 22, episode, centered on Dan (John Goodman) looking for a strategy to afford Roseanne’s (Roseanne Barr) knee surgical procedure – he didn’t need her to proceed taking painkillers, and with D.J. (Michael Fishman) and Darlene (Sara Gilbert) transferring in the home along with her youngsters, there wasn’t sufficient cash to assist all.
In a uncooked scene – and an unbelievable acted one by Goodman – Dan reaches the top of his endurance when, on high of all the pieces else, he learns that the basement has flooded.
