Dana White: CM Punk’s UFC career over after loss to ‘complete f-cking idiot’ Mike Jackson

CHICAGO – UFC President Dana White praised Phil “CM Punk” Brooks’ toughness and blasted Mike Jackson’s victory at UFC 225.

White suggested Punk (Zero-2 MMA, Zero-2 UFC) to give up MMA whereas handing an early UFC retirement to Jackson (1-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC), declaring “that’s it for his UFC career.”

“I wouldn’t put that kid in the Contender Series,” White added on the post-fight press convention for Saturday’s occasion, which befell at United Center in Chicago.

Punk returned to the octagon 21 months after a lopsided defeat by the hands of Mickey Gall and fared little higher towards Jackson, who battered him on the toes and on the canvas before taking home a unanimous decision on the pay-per-view primary card.

White was in no temper to give Punk one other probability within the octagon after two failed tries.

“No, it should be a wrap,” White stated. “The guy’s 39 years old. We gave him two shots, and he had a lot of heart tonight, and I think he should call it a wrap.”

Yet White expressed admiration for Punk’s potential to take a punch and hold coming regardless of being wildly overmatched. That effort was praised, whereas he derided Jackson for showboating and never combating to end.

“(Punk) got clipped a lot in that fight, and it looked like he was hurt,” White stated. “Michael Jackson I’m not pleased with. This man was performing like a goofball tonight. You get this chance to struggle CM Punk, and also you’re doing, like, bolo punches to the physique on prime. Never appeared like he was attempting to end the struggle ever. Looked like he might have completed the struggle just a few occasions. Never tried.

“I don’t know what that guy did for a living before we gave him the shot, but whatever it was, he needs to go back and do that again. He’s 0-2 as far as I’m concerned.”

Asked to elaborate on the conduct he thought-about to be showboating, White stated, “I got the sense that he’s a complete f-cking idiot, and I couldn’t wait for that fight to end, and I regretted not putting that fight on Fight Pass. That’s how I felt about that fight.”

White’s feedback caught Jackson completely off guard. The fighter and someday MMA media member made a triumphant post-fight speech and confidently stated he would sit down with White to work out his subsequent struggle, which he stated might are available MMA or boxing.

Instead, Jackson was left to surprise what he’d achieved unsuitable (via Twitter).

I’m legit confused right here. I’m attempting to determine how I used to be “cocky” & “taunting”?! I’m sorry, I didn’t knock out Phil, dude is hella robust. And I didn’t need to get caught with some dumb shit.
