Hunter Henry of LA Chargers suffers season-ending torn ACL

Los Angeles Chargers tight finish Hunter Henry suffered a torn ACL throughout OTAs on Tuesday, the staff introduced.

Henry suffered the season-ending damage throughout a drill, taking place untouched whereas working downfield, a supply advised ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He could have a second opinion Wednesday, the supply mentioned.

It’s a big loss for the Chargers, who was set to imagine the principle pass-catching function with Antonio Gates not on their roster for the primary time since 2003.

Henry had 45 catches for 579 yards and 4 TDs in 2017, his second season out of Arkansas. He averaged 12.9 yards per reception final season, the third-most amongst tight ends behind solely Rob Gronkowski (15.7) and Vernon Davis (15.1).

Gates, in the meantime, stays unsigned.
