Dozens of passengers were taken to hospital complaining of headache and earache and affected by nausea after the aircraft depressurised quickly.
Sarah McGarry, from Ratoath in Co Meath, spoke to The Irish Times from the basement at Frankfurt Hahn airport the place she had been staying in a single day.

In response to a question from The Irish Times on Saturday morning, Ryanair launched a press release saying: “This flight from Dublin to Zadar (13 July) diverted to Frankfurt Hahn because of an inflight depressurisation. In line with commonplace process, the crew deployed oxygen masks and initiated a managed descent.
