Loyal Kroger shoppers hold vigil outside closed Dearborn store – Story

– Plenty of upset individuals in Dearborn right now as many gathered for a vigil for a Kroger store, sure you heard proper, a Kroger store.

They waived Kroger playing cards and lit candles outside the store on Michigan Ave because it shut its doorways for good Saturday afternoon.

The determination to shut it was met with protest by loyal shoppers.

Some determined to hold a vigil and the concept shortly unfold, with round 100 individuals in attendance.

“This is a community celebration this is what community means to Kroger, the diversity, the inclusion and the respect that the community has for the years of dedication we’ve given to our consumers, this is a celebration of our great associates and the great customers we served every single day,” Kroger Corporate Affairs Manager Rachel Hurst stated.

The store held a particular place within the hearts of the group. When the upset shoppers look throughout the road they see one other Kroger store.

That was a giant think about why the store closed within the first place.

Kroger officers say laid off staff shall be provided jobs at different shops within the space.
