New York Mets’ Yoenis Cespedes loses some diamonds in slide at second base

New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes realized the laborious approach that diamonds aren’t eternally.

Cespedes legged out a double in the primary inning of Wednesday’s loss to the Atlanta Braves, and as he was sliding into second base his costly chain got here undone and some of the diamonds scattered throughout the infield.

Cespedes was visibly upset at himself as he threw part of the chain on the bottom. The Mets telecast confirmed the diamonds glistening in the filth.

Mets infielder Asdrual Cabrera got here out the subsequent inning and tried to salvage some of the diamonds.

Cespedes isn’t the one participant to have necklace hassle in latest years.

Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. broke his necklace, which was made from black diamonds, through the 2017 American League Championship Game in opposition to the New York Yankees.
