Elon Musk’s Boring Company has an answer to the fixed site visitors issues baseball followers have attending Los Angeles Dodgers video games.
His firm proposes an roughly three.6-mile underground tunnel to Dodger Stadium known as the Dugout Loop — a high-speed, zero-emissions, underground public transportation system.
The Dugout Loop would “help reduce traffic in Los Angeles by providing a clean and efficient public transportation option.”
Instead of followers driving to Chavez Ravine, passengers would load into electrical skates that may be capable of transport roughly 1,400 followers from East Hollywood to Dodger Stadium in 4 minutes, avoiding the stop-and-go site visitors.
These pod-like electrical skates, which might carry Eight-16 passengers at a time, would journey as much as 150 miles per hour.
“We were excited when The Boring Company came to us with this project. Whether it is flying overhead in an aerial transit system or bypassing traffic through an underground tunnel, we are always looking for innovative ways to make it easier for Dodgers fans to get to a game,” Tucker Kain, the Dodgers’ chief monetary officer, stated in a press release. “We are committed to working with our neighbors and fans as the project moves forward.”
The development of the venture would final 14 months, says Musk. Fares usually are not finalized, however would value round $1.
