Man Broke Into Taylor Swift’s Home, Took Off Shoes To Be ‘Polite’: Police

WESTERLY, R.I. (AP) — Police say a person who broke into Taylor Swift’s beachfront mansion in Rhode Island took his footwear off as a result of he wished to be well mannered.

Westerly police who responded to the house simply after 5 p.m. Friday discovered 26-year-old Richard Joseph McEwan inside.

Police Chief Shawn Lacey tells The Westerly Sun the Milford, New Jersey man wasn’t carrying footwear. When requested why, he mentioned he was at all times taught to take his footwear off when coming into somebody’s dwelling to be well mannered.
